Our basement started today. I have been scheming about the kids' playroom that will be down there and love this:
(Land of Nod)
1. I like the wood floors, which forgive paint, glue, and glitter much easier than carpet does. On a budget friendly note, anyone have any experience installing a Pergo-type floor? I was thinking we could do it ourselves...? Is it as easy as it looks? I am sucker for HGTV and think I can do anything with a few nails and glue.
2. I like the frame wallpaper. It's absolutely genius. Not only for the kids, but for anyone who visits us. I am specifically asking for a smooth drywall finish in the playroom for the purpose of this wallpaper.
3. The kids have a table and chair set, and lots of colorful props/organizational stuff. It won't take much to make their playroom super fun and gender neutral.
Well, that's the playroom. More inspiration coming soon.

THAT IS FANTASTIC THAT WAYNE IS DOING WELL ! WE ARE SOOOO HAPPY TO HEAR THERE IS GOOD NEWS FOR HIM. pergo floors - they click when you walk on them as they are hollow .......not as easy as it looks unless you have patience, time, knowledge, time, ....in our experience unless you have all of the above, including time, it is worth it to pay somebody to install it. look at the Karndean series....there are tons of options, it is a commerical product made from recycled PVC, and stands the test of kids and standing water. Cleans up with soap and water. A breeze to take care of. I love all the new patterns out now. And they have a several new tiles that looks fantastic. I love our floors for maintance. Cost installed was about $8 - worth the money. Love you guys Pam
