Boot Camp Update

So, Claire being the sweet, adaptable baby that she is, is taking to my new schedule like a champ. Today she is napping right on schedule (who knew all you had to do was make a plan??) and things are going great.

But wait. Apparently I did not take into account that when she wakes up, it will be time for Caeden to go down for his nap (a totally new thing since school has been on break. I am seriously thinking of home-schooling this child instead of sending him back to school as to capitalize on these naps!!).*

So, he goes down, and she wakes up. And then he wakes up and she goes back down again.

It seems my brilliant plan has me captive in the house. Thank goodness Target is open late as I fear I may not see the light of day for years to come! Nice plan, Val. Way to take control, Super Mom.

*Never will I be crazy/motivated/feel strongly enough about naps to EVER home-school my child.

Ruffle Butt

Mom called me and asked what Claire needed for Christmas.
I said, "something developmentally appropriate."
What I meant, of course, was "anything pink!"

So, after I told Mom to get Claire something boring and educational, she said,
"What about something frilly and pink?"

Brilliant woman.

So, here is Claire all decked out in something pink. Frilly ruffles.
I cannot get enough of her in it!
This outfit is what I dreamt (is that a word?) of when I found out I was having a girl.
