Random Encounter

I originally had a blurb about a grocery store encounter, but this one is better.

Tonight at Costco a woman wanted to stop and look at Claire. Here is the conversation:

"Oh, your baby is beautiful."

"Thank you."

"She is so tiny. It sure doesn't last long."

"No, it sure doesn't. It goes fast."

(Totally deadpan) -- "Thank God for that. If this phase lasted longer than a year, none of us would survive it."

It was so funny and so unexpected. I love candid people.
