On Credit Card Debt

Shabby Chic.

I have tried to get over it. Tried to go with newer styles, but I just can't help it. THIS is my style. Soft, pretty, comfortable. The unfortunate part is expensive.

Since Shabby Chic can now be found at Target (some cute stuff but the quality isn't the same as what you'll find in the boutique) and that does take away some of the allure. But mostly what has kept me away is the fact there is no store in Denver. I have to go to Chicago, NYC, or Atlanta to indulge (although I had total, saint-like restraint in Atlanta). But now ... online shopping ... sigh.

I think I'm in trouble.

Sweating It

Is there any other way to start a new workout routine than with new clothes? I don't know about anyone else out there, but nothing gets me more motivated than coordinating workout outfits. I can always pick out other women like me on the trails. New to working out? Getting back on the horse? You will look fantastic in your new pink shorts and tee (just don't look at my legs!).

The better in shape I get, the less I care what I am wearing. When I am hard core and running daily, I'll throw on whatever is clean (even sort of clean) and go. Usually, a baggy cotton tee and running shorts (that have long since lost it's "coordinating" tee).

Yesterday I decided to start getting serious about losing my baby weight (3 weeks postpartum and only 10 pounds have come off - are you kidding me?!) and dove into my closet for something to wear. Surprise, surprise, nothing fit. Off to the Sports Authority for some new stuff. Yep, it all matches ... but I can't wait to wear all my stuff that doesn't!!
